Frequently Asked Questions

FTK is a free service for designers and testers. You can support our work by donating to our Ko-fi, PayPal, or purchasing merch when we release it. We’d love to be referred to your local knitting groups, yarn stores, and other crafting communities.

Send us a DM on Instagram or email! Our guidelines are updated regularly and in most cases, the changes are based on feedback from the community.  

We try to respond to submission DMs within 24 hours and post approved tests to our feed within 36 hours. Our current guidelines state that a test must be submitted to FTK at least 3 days before the start date of the test itself. This is to give FTK and the designer time to go over any questions or resolve any issues with the submission.  

Once your submission has been approved, we will do our best to post it to our feed within the same day. You will receive a notification that it has been posted. 

If your submission does not meet our guidelines, we will notify you within 36 hours of your submission.

Please note that FTK’s staff is located in the Pacific Time Zone. 

We’re so sorry and we encourage you to try again! FTK’s staff does their best to vet each submission using our guidelines, experience, and discretion. If your test was declined, you will be told the reason why. Typically, we will offer suggestions for how the test can be changed to meet our guidelines. You can always resubmit your test once it meets our guidelines. 

Please make sure you are referring to the most recent version of our guidelines when putting together your submission.
